UNHCR operations in Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and Chile established the Regional Safe Spaces Network in coordination with implementing and operational partners to provide specialized services to SGBV survivors, children at risk and other vulnerable individuals with diverse backgrounds. The RSSN comprises civil society organizations, community volunteer networks, faith-based organizations, government institutions and UN agencies as members or allies to the RSSN to ensure linking survivors, children at risk, and vulnerable people to life-saving services.

Today, the Network includes more than 100 members: UNHCR, UNFPA, IOM, national institutions, civil society, faith-based organizations, and community volunteers working on SGBV, child protection, and human rights in 14 countries, including the North of Central America (NCA), Venezuela, and neighbouring countries.
